Overview
This act is no longer in force: according to EUR-Lex its validity ended on 5 July 2022 and it was repealed by Regulation (EU) 2019/2144. New applications should follow the acts in force.
Regulation (EU) No 1230/2012 set the requirements for EC type-approval of motor vehicles and their trailers with regard to their masses and dimensions. For each version the manufacturer had to determine the technically permissible maximum laden mass, the mass of the combination, the towable mass, the masses on axles and axle groups, and the masses at the coupling points.
Scope
While in force, it applied to incomplete, complete and completed vehicles of categories M, N and O.
The regulation applies to the following vehicle categories:
