IEC 62133-2 is an IEC International Standard on requirements and tests for the safe operation of portable sealed secondary lithium cells and batteries containing non-acid electrolyte, under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse. Nickel systems are in a separate Part 1.
Current version: IEC 62133-2:2017+AMD1:2021, consolidated edition 1.1 (published 15 July 2021). The IEC work programme lists a new edition (ED2). Scope
It covers portable sealed secondary lithium cells, including coin cells, and batteries made from them, for use in portable applications.
