Overview
UN Regulation No 142 lays down uniform provisions for the approval of motor vehicles with regard to the installation of their tyres.

Scope
It applies to vehicles of categories M, N and O with regard to the installation of their tyres. It does not apply to vehicles whose conditions of use are incompatible with class C1, C2 or C3 tyres, or to the installation of temporary use spare units, run-flat and extended mobility tyres in their flat tyre running mode, or tyre pressure monitoring systems.
